Strain measurement of a Helicopter Window Frame due to mechanical loadThe Q400 3D-DIC system is used for the measurement of the strain distribution at a helicopter window frame during complex mechanical loading. The color overlay shows the area of maximal shear strain. This application example shows how weak points (strain maxima) can be localized using spatially resolved DIC strain measurement. |
