Deformation and vibration measurement of a car in the Wind tunnel

Measurement of the car body deformation in a wind tunnel up to 120km/h. The deformation in z-direction (out-of-plane) is measured with a Q400 3D-DIC system.
The diagram shows z-displacement vs. wind velocity.

This application example shows how the Q400 system is used to measure the static body deformation depending on the wind speed in a wind tunnel.
