Strain measurement of a disc spring (automotive clutch)

Full field strain measurement on a disc spring (clutch) at compression load.
The color mapping shows the major strain field E1
Diameter of the disc: 200mm
Used measurement system: Q400 3D-DIC system.

This application example shows how even small strains can be measured with a Q400 system with superimposed 3D movement of the component surface.
