Load test of a CFRP Bicycle FrameDeformation measurement of a loaded bicycle frame made of CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced polymer). The measurement was performed with a Q400 3D-DIC system. The shown vectors are scaled by factor 20. This example shows how a 3D deformation measurement leads to a meaningful spatially resolved displacement vector field that is used for the comparison with an FEA (finite element analysis). |
