Bending test of a Wind Turbine BladeThe bending and strain of a 10m wide area of a wind turbine blade is measured with Q400 3D-DIC system. The natural pattern of the unvernished rotor blade ist sufficient for the successful correlation analyis. The image shows the out of plane displacement overlay and the bending line. This application example shows how the 3D deformation of large components can be measured using digital cameras. |
