Visualisation and recording of vibrations in slow motion
The Strobe-CAM allows the visualisation of vibrations as well as the recording in slow motion, e.g. on shakers, engine test stands, in inaccessible areas or very small objects. The Strobe-CAM is an easy and low cost alternative to high speed cameras. It offers a large variety of possibilities that go beyond a normal stroboscope. According to the frequency or the velocity of the event, the exposure time of the camera or the light source are controlled stroboscopically. The stroboscopical control is based on the real time analysis (frequency and phase relation) of an input signal by the trigger module. The input signals are outputs from a frequency generator or an acceleration sensor. Application of the Strobe-CAM to an electronic circuit board (excited by a shaker) with capacities. Due to the synchronization technique of the Strobe-CAM, the dynamic movement can be visualised in slow motion and further data processing (e.g. calculation of vibration knots) allows even more quantitative analysis. Applications: Vibrations and rotations, e.g. electronic boards, automotive parts, injection process.
